Public Education
Ronnie Glynn is a loud voice in opposition to efforts to privatize schools with vouchers and charter schools that gamble with Tennesseans tax dollars and children’s education. He vows to treat our educators with the respect they deserve because they’re responsible for the next generation.

Healthcare
Access to healthcare is a right. Women should be trusted to make the decision that is best for their situations, without the interference of politicians. Ronnie Glynn will defend every Tennesseans’ right to quality heath care.

Make Tennessee Livable
The rising costs and backsliding of the middle class must be addressed. Tennessee is growing and on the rise, but not for all. Ronnie will defend democracy and protect voting rights, ensure that public servants are protected and respected, and fight for infrastructure.
Education
Our neighborhood schools serve as the backbone of our communities and offer every child an opportunity to be successful, regardless of their circumstances. Unfortunately, our state legislature has not kept up its end of the bargain by providing our educators and students with the resources they need to be successful.
A strong defender of our public schools, students, and educators, Ronnie Glynn will be a loud voice in opposition to efforts to privatize our schools with vouchers and charter schools that gamble with our tax dollars and children’s education.
Tennessee is blessed with some of the best-trained and dedicated educators in the country that we should be praising and supporting, instead of demonizing and demeaning. That’s why Ronnie will stand up for educators, providing classrooms with needed resources, fighting for competitive salaries, and protecting teachers’ retirements.
In his freshmen session, Ronnie Glynn filed 14 education related bills, including HB975, a bill that became law to protect the pensions of retired teachers.
HB454, HB697, HB1078, HB1167, HB1168, HB1851, HB2568, HB2569, HB2570, HB2571, HB2739, HB2740, HB2776,
Healthcare
Ronnie Glynn benefitted from universal healthcare while serving our country. He knows first-hand how important it is to have access to medical coverage and that preventative care can be a lifeline that everyone should have. That means expanding and funding Medicaid by bringing our tax dollars back to Tennessee for working Tennesseans, instead of sending those dollars to California or Massachusetts. It also means investing in healthcare and first-responder services across the state to ensure that all Tennesseans can enjoy their right to quality healthcare.
Ronnie believes that women’s healthcare is between their doctor and themselves, not politicians. The first bill he filed during his freshmen session was to provide exceptions to the extreme abortion law in Tennessee. Additionally, he believes the help needs to extend to mothers after the child is born, especially in a state with the strictest abortion restrictions.
Veterans and Military Families
As a retired Master Sergeant in the US Army, Ronnie values and honors the service of those who have given so much to our country. When elected as our State Representative, Ronnie Glynn will introduce legislation on day one to make it easier for veterans and their spouses to open businesses in Tennessee, ensure that our military families are provided relief from skyrocketing inflation, and protect veterans’ right to vote, even while serving overseas.
It is critical that we begin making sure Clarksville is more accommodating and true to our Southern Hospitality to veterans and military families, in particular working spouses, as they seek to continue civilian careers or start small businesses.

Affordability
Ronnie Glynn is a business owner who has seen first-hand the struggles faced by business owners and customers dealing with skyrocketing prices of basic services, gas, and salaries. That’s why Ronnie has supported a holiday suspending the gas tax for 90 days to give working families a break. He also supported the efforts made to eliminate Tennessee’s grocery tax permanently.
Ronnie Glynn’s plan also includes working with the state, municipalities, and contractors to bring more attainable housing to families and individuals looking to purchase a home in order to establish themselves in our communities and accumulate wealth. It is critical that individuals know that there is a path to homeownership.
Finally, Ronnie believes that we should offer circuit-breaker tax breaks on real-estate taxes and utility bills for seniors living on fixed incomes so that they can age in place.
Jobs
Through legislation, Ronnie will support small businesses that pay well and offer good benefits to Tennesseans. He will make it easier for employers to offer healthcare to their employees and give in-state businesses the first crack at government contracts.
With an increasingly shortage of employees in fields such as teaching and technical careers, Ronnie believes in incentivizing individuals to fulfill these roles and make the path to these careers easier and less burdensome.
Our state has given up billions of dollars in state income to out-of-state businesses that give very little back instead of boosting the small businesses that are the backbone of our economy. Ronnie opposed the Govenors’s $1.8 billion corporate handout to out of state businesses while Tennesseans continue to struggle to make ends meet. Tax breaks can have value, but they must always be coupled with accountability.
Public Safety
Ronnie believes that we should properly fund our police and give them the training they need to keep our streets safe. He also knows that we need additional mental health resources to allow situations to be handled in an appropriate manner.
Our community is blessed with top-notch public servants, but there are relationships that can be improved through honest conversations and accountability.
Ronnie also believes that a large part of preventing crime through the state starts with taking care of our youth and ensuring they have a positive influence in their lives. This includes having strong after school programs and other activities in the area. This inspired Ronnie’s dedication to bringing the Boys and Girls Club to Clarksville and because of his work, the club will be opening in 2025.
Gun Violence
As a member of the armed services, Ronnie received extensive training on the proper use of firearms and knows that weapons of war should not be in the hands of civilians. In order to keep our communities safe, we should close the gun-show loophole, expand background checks, and pass common sense gun legislation that keeps weapons out of the hands of individuals who are a danger to themselves and others.
Infrastructure
Our state and Clarksville specifically are growing at a rapid rate, but our state is failing to handle the increased demands from the increased population. Our roads and schools are getting squeezed, and our state policies have been reactive instead of proactive.
Given the massive influx of dollars available to Tennessee, we cannot afford to miss the opportunity to build the long-term vision of our state, an opportunity unlikely to present itself again.
Ronnie Glynn
Protecting Voting Rights
As a proud American and veteran, Ronnie Glynn knows that the right to vote and voters’ faith in election integrity are essentials that we must prioritize and protect, or our democracy will be in jeopardy. That means that every eligible citizen should have access to the ballot box. Ronnie also supports programs beginning in middle and high school to encourage the next generation to vote, and he prioritizes protecting our election process from foreign and domestic interference and honoring the will of the people.
Ronnie’s career has been about protecting our democracy, first as a soldier and now as a citizen, and he will do what needs to be done to stop voter suppression.
